The Rural-SIRCS National Scheme assists and enhances the work of existing membership organisations. It can be used as a member's benefit and even a membership recruitment tool.
Partnerships that become Rural-SIRCS members have the advantage of using an accessible crime management system at a fraction of the cost of buying an individual system. All partnerships are able to view information from around the country giving them a complete overview of rural crime in the UK.
To help reduce the administrative burden users are able to upload their own stolen property and environmental (fly tipping etc) information. Suspect/offender profiles and incident reports are moderated by administrators before being uploaded on the system. Each partnership/organisation is able to sign up their own members while the Empowering-Communities Administration Team can provide admin support and have the responsibility of signing up individual members that are not part of larger groups. The Rural-SIRCS National Scheme helps tackle cross border crime, reduces the fear of crime and increases community intelligence. Statutory bodies including the police can have free access to the system. International statutory bodies can be given access to the system. The secure and encrypted Rural-SIRCS National Scheme can be accessed via a computer or mobile telephone.
