Rural-SIRCS aims to disrupt and reduce organised, cross border rural crime and facilitate proportionate, secure and effective information sharing between the rural business community and the police nationally.
'The Rural-SIRCS partnership will work as a social action network that will motivate and empower rural communities, businesses, individuals, partnerships and organisations to take an active part in reducing crime and disorder, tackling environmental issues and in making communities safer. It will complement and join up existing local projects such as Farm Watch and dramatically improve information sharing. By helping one victim of crime group we will inspire them to help others. This will be achieved by making Rural- SIRCS available on a voluntary contribution basis. All contributions will go towards our work in building a robust, sustainable domestic and sexual abuse reduction partnership that will help break the cycle of repeat victimisation now and for future generations'.
